Nebraska Distance Learning Week Events—Nov. 10–14

To celebrate Nebraska Distance Learning Week, NDLA is hosting the following free LIVE virtual field trips for K–12 Nebraska classrooms. Register HERE.

  • Nov. 10th—CLOSED—Morrill Hall: Prehistoric Life on the Nebraska Plains—ALL SESSIONS ARE FULL
  • Nov. 11th—Joslyn Art Museum presentations on the Maximillian/Bodmer Expedition featuring the works of Karl Bodmer.
    If you want to participate please choose the session time that works best for you.

    • Session 1 at 10:00 AM (can be for grades 3 – 5)
    • Session 2 at 1:00 PM (can be for grades 3 – 5)
  • Nov. 12th—National Homestead Museum presentations on a the life of a homesteader and the buffalo on the plains of Nebraska.
    If you want to participate please choose the session time that works best for you.

    • Session 1 at 10:00 AM – Follow the Buffalo (can be for grades 4 – 8)
    • Session 2 at 11:00 AM – A Day in the Life of a Homesteader (can be for grades 4 – 8)
  • Nov. 13th—Durham Western Heritage Museum presentations on the Building the Transcontinental Railroad through Nebraska.
    If you want to participate please choose the session time that works best for you.

    • Session 1 at 9:00 AM—All Aboard (Kindergarten-5th Grade)
    • Session 2 at 10:00 AM—Building the Transcontinental Railroad (5th-8th Grade)
    • Session 3 at 11:00 AM—Train Robbers of the Old West (4th-8th Grade)
    • Session 4 at 1:00 PM—Building the Transcontinental Railroad (5th-8th Grade)
    • Session 5 at 2:00 PM —Train Robbers of the Old West (4th-8th Grade)
